5 REASONS TO TAKE CARE OF YOUR LABRADOR’S COAT

Although the care required by this breed is not too much, it is very important to take care of its coat if we want it to always look healthy and beautiful.

REASON #1.
Many people may think that the Labrador, being short-haired, does not shed hair or sheds less hair than a long-haired dog, but in reality this is not the case. If we do not want to have a house full of hair, it is important to brush him routinely.

REASON #2.
Like any other dog, the Labrador’s coat gets dirty, accumulates dust and absorbs bad odors. A good brushing is usually enough to remove residues from his coat and with a good grooming session we also make sure to completely eliminate dirt and bad odor.

REASON #3.
As with our hair, the Labrador’s coat is also receptive to products specially designed for his coat. If when brushing it we use a perfume elaborated with oil we will be hydrating its coat and giving it more shine. If when bathing him, besides shampooing we use balm, we will obtain an exquisite softness.

REASON #4.
Creating a daily brushing routine with our dog does not only mean hygiene and beauty. For our dog, brushing is a moment that we dedicate exclusively to him and if we make it pleasant for him, it will be a great opportunity to create a bond with our pet. He will feel grateful that we are giving him our time.

REASON #5.
Hygiene routines are important for our Labrador’s coat to be healthy and beautiful, but they also help us to periodically check the condition of his skin. In a natural way, when brushing our Labrador we will be feeling him and observing areas where there is hair that we could not see with the naked eye. This allows us to see if there is any protuberance that did not exist before, if there are possible parasites, any wound or any other anomaly of the skin.
